If you are like me, you spend a whole lot of your awake time at your job. Many of us do, that´s the way we´ve been taught to do during the time we grew up. You go to college to get that education to get that specific job.

Later down the line, you may get rewarded because you´ve been working hard for a long time. The time we work, we trade our time for money - may be at a job we really don´t like and is unfulfilling. It may seem like the most natural and normal thing to do, get up in the morning to go to work. 8 hour days, many of us work even more.

Every day of the week, sometimes even weekends - leaving no or little time left to be with our families and loved ones. We also want to be able to save up money to retire comfortably but then we realize we probably have to work yet a few years more than we actually want - even though our health may not allow it.

If you are stuck in that vicious circle called the rat race, I want to tell you that there actually is a way out. If you are tired of that constant up-hill seemingly never-ending rat race, I want you to spend some time reading this article.

First off, understand that there is a way out!

Is your dream to be able to buy that awesome car? Buy that beautiful house? Move to another country for a couple of years and experience a new culture and a way of living?

Or is it only to be able to spend some more quality time with your family? Be able to see your kids grow up? Now, whatever your dream might be, the fact is that most people will go through life never really getting the most out of it.

They keep on living their life stuck in the rat race, commuting back and forth from work. Day in and day out - maybe even years. Maybe they are in a job that they seriously got tired of... Thinking that this is the only way to live. That is a really sad fact, but this is what society has brought us up to believe!

The reasons can be many. One of them is simply that most people think that the 9-5 way is the only way and I am here to tell you that you couldn´t be more wrong! So very wrong.

Stop trading your time for money!

Maybe you have a job today that takes a lot of time? This is a big one, because a lot of people today are actually trading their time for money. The fact is that we´ve been ingrained from an early age that we need to get a good education and then get that job we are expected to get.

That´s the only way forward and to get somewhere in life. It is so deeply rooted in modern society! In the beginning, you may be fine with it, but what this system actually does is that it´s keeping us away from doing what we truly want and desire. We tell ourselves we need to work to be able to get that car, be able to buy that house, and to get that promotion.

Start an online business!

This is by far the best path to get out of the rat race! You could probably say that this is a little bit of a follow-up on the previous one.

You don´t have to be running it full-time, you can start off having that as a side hustle. If you are willing to learn the skills needed you can over time be able to have unlimited income potential!

There are several ways to get started with an online business. You can either start selling other companies' products and receive a commission for it - that´s called affiliate marketing. The beauty of this is that you don´t have to have your own products or services to sell and promote. You simply align yourself with a company and start selling their products on your website. Another thing you can do is get started with e-commerce, selling physical products on the Internet! If you have a business idea and want to sell your own products, e-commerce is a great way to get started. Getting started with an online business is not difficult and won't cost you a ton of money or you don´t have to have all the technical knowledge to create a website.

Another great thing is that you don´t have to leave your current job to do this. You can simply start with this as a side hustle. Learn more about this HERE!

Stop buying things you don´t need!

Let´s face it, many of us have a tendency to buy things because we think we need it. One thing that you can start off doing immediately is making a budget. Calculate how much you earn every month and then take a look at your expenses.

Write down how much you pay in bills, rent, food and enjoyment. Can you cut something? Do you really (I mean really) need to buy that shirt? Have you been thinking how much you spend on cigarettes or buying that extra coffee in the mornings on the way to work?

Take some time to think about these things! Now, when we got this one covered, the next one is sort of a follow-up on this one.

Spend your money right and be a money-producing machine!

After we´ve done this last one, now what shall we do with the money we haven´t spent on buying those unnecessary things? Invest them instead, but choose your investments wisely and have at least a few different investments. Also, get a savings account and make sure to set aside money every month.
